Pakistani team awaits visas for International Visual Impaired Archery Championship

Visas for the International Visual Impaired Archery Championship have not been issued to the Pakistani team yet. Pakistan Blind Archery Federation (PBAF) secretary Tanveer Ahmed told APP that the scheduled championship will be played in Andorra from September 25 to 30. "We applied for visas at the Spanish embassy 15 days ago, but visas have not been issued yet," he said.
The organizer of the championship has also requested visas to be issued to the Spanish Embassy so that the Pakistani team can attend the event. "We will not be able to attend the event if visas are not issued until September 26," he said.


Tanveer Ahmed said that the three-member Pakistani team will be participating in the championship in which Tanveer along with Walid Aziz and Abdul Waheed will participate in the mega event while Mohammed Ijaz and Mohammad Waqas as coaches and team manager.

"The players have undergone extensive training for 15 days at Sports Complex Rawalpindi and we are well prepared for the event," he said. He said teams from France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, Andorra, Italy and Ukraine will participate in the championship.
